Dice Combinations
Craps is one of only a few games in the
casino where proper play can have a significant effect on the house
advantage. Therefore, it is
important that a player understands the odds of any particular point
coming before 7 as well as the odds of any total coming in relation to the
other 10 totals. Figure 5.3 below provides this information. Then, figure
5.4 demonstrates all 36 combinations of the dice.

Odds on the bars are odds the number will come before 7.
Odds above the bar are odds the number will
come before any other.
Like color bars = same number of combinations.

As figure 5.3 shows, there are 36 total combinations for 2 dice. Each result
has a certain number of combinations. The number 7, which is the key number in
craps, has the most (six). Figure 5.4 further demonstrates this by showing
all the possible ways each result (2-12) can come.
