A Word about Dice Control

In a private game, it may be possible with shady tricks to influence the outcome of the roll (loaded dice, sliding the dice on a smooth surface, etc).

In a casino you can forget about all the funny stuff. For one thing, failure to bump the dice is frowned upon. Furthermore, felt is a far cry from cement or tile. Examining the dice reveals that they have combined 16 corners and 12 sides. Not considering any of the angles or numerous points that the dice can contact the surface or any of the other numerous physical factors or conditions, just the numbers of corners and sides create an uncontrollable number of ways the dice can the hit the felt the first time. I would be impressed if a physics student in a laboratory could control the outcome of a dice roll to any significant degree.
