Video Poker

     

Information will be added to this section as it is hammered out. I have been working on this site for a number of years in my spare time (which is very little). I insist on doing my own work rather than stealing information from other websites. This particular subject turns out to be very complicated. I will tell you that video poker is not a fair game as it is often portrayed, with advocates citing the low house edge on some varieties.

The truth is that video poker is a brutal game with high variance and a high risk of ruin for those trying to hit a royal flush. Below is table of pre-draw probabilities then a link to preliminary data on Jacks or Better which I obtained using a program I developed for the purpose.

Below is a list of pre-draw poker probabilities for five card games with no wild cards.
